Russian watchdog may sue Gazprom over pipe tenders August
MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service can consider initiating a case against gas giant Gazprom over the company’s tenders for big-diameter pipelines in August, Deputy Director Andrei Tsarikovsky told PRIME Thursday.
“I think that we will receive an answer (from Gazprom to a warning letter sent earlier), will study it carefully and will come back to this issue. I mean, sometime in August,” Tsarikovsky said.
The watchdog has said that Gazprom hurts competition by admitting to the tenders only the companies which are united in large groups of suppliers.
